Obviously, it’s not enough to just wash and condition your hair to achieve a healthy look. First things first: you have to identify your hair type.
Three main types:
1. Normal hair
Normal hair looks healthy and does not remain greasy or dry all the while. This type of hair can be styled easily and can hold any type of hair style with ease. You can use normal shampoo and conditioner.
2. Dry hair
Dry hair appears dull and rough. It often gets frizzy and prone to split ends. Combing becomes a lot more difficult. Dandruff is another common problem.
3. Greasy / fine hair
Fine or greasy hair looks limp and flat. It looks as though it lacks volume and remains oily even after a shampoo wash. It requires more frequent washing than other hair types. You may need to shampoo twice before applying conditioner.
Hair Washing
Although we all wash our hair, many of us do it in a wrong way. To wash your hair correctly you should apply small amount of shampoo to your hair. Massage your hair gently until you form the foam hat around your head. Rinse the hair with warm water. Then rinse again for a minute only with the mildly hot water. It opens up the cuticle of the hair to help the conditioner absorb. You should wash your hair at least 3 times a week.
Hair Conditioning
This section of hair treatment is usually omitted by the greatest part of people. But it is wrong. Conditioners were made to let you easily comb your hair, protect hair from frizz or pulling during blow drying and combing. When wet, our hair has greater elasticity than when it is dry. So, if you do not use the conditioner, you may stretch your hair half its normal length, which is not good for its health. Every time after you wash your hair with shampoo, you should apply conditioner to them to keep your hair healthy. Apply to the middle and ends of your hair. Why? Your scalp produces its own oils to condition the roots, so you do not need to apply conditioner there. The hair ends are damaged most and therefore require extra care. Leave the conditioner for 1-3 minutes. After Rinse completely and use cool water for the final rinsing which helps to close the hair cuticles and makes your hair shinier.

Drying
Wrap your hair with a towel to remove additional water, do not rub or scrub your hair with the towel, as this damages your hair, you can squeeze it gently with your hands or you can air dry it for 30-60 minutes. If you decide to use a blow dryer try to use it less often as possible and do not bring the dryer too close to your hair, also use a Heat Defense Spray. Hope this helps you all with washing, conditioning and drying your hair the right way.
